We Get Around!

We have been to many places, discovered new things, and met new people....in the past week or more, we've really gotten around!

At 11 weeks, Joshua is still taking naps throughout the day, but he is definitely up more often, now!

Meanwhile, Derek holds conversations on the phone, almost daily.

A rare cool day and we're out running errands!

Derek is great at helping Mommy!  Here is the "lion" getting the boppy pillow for her!

Derek is definitely growing...maybe it's because of all of the foods he eats!

Derek was upset about his broken banana, so Mommy took a straw and made a kabob out of it!

 Two weekends ago we headed down to Hollywood to see Bubby and Zaide and visit with cousins Jan & Larry and Lynne & Steve.  On the way down, we had a visit with Dr. Derek and his wife, Ruth (parents of 5 kids)!

Ruth hasn't lost her touch...she's like the baby-whisperer!

Although, it's rare for Derek to sleep in the car anymore...they both passed out on the trip down to B & Z!

Of course, once we arrived, Derek was up and ready to play...

...even if Daddy and Josh were not!

...while Derek ate some more!  He even stole food off of Daddy's plate!

The next day we celebrated Derek's classmate's 3rd birthday!  Happy Birthday, Jaelyn!  She (and her sister) celebrated with 2 bounce houses, 2 ponies, a face-painter, tattoo artist, music, and more!  We had so much fun, we forgot to take a picture with the birthday girl!

Derek and Josh are really beginning to get along.  Josh is quite tolerant of Derek and Derek is working hard to make sure Josh is "comfortable."

Bubby came up during the week to help Mommy clean out all of her maternity clothes.  We also had a chance to have another lunch with Rhonda before she returned to Michigan (and Derek was able to meet Rhon's sister, Diane, her husband Joe, and their Grandson Gabriel)!  Now we have a new friend to visit parks with!!!

On Wednesday, Mommy got to go to "Parent-Teacher Conferences" for Derek.  Yes, at 2 years old, Derek received his first report card.  Both Mommy and Daddy are very proud of how well Derek is progressing!  While at school, Mommy noticed a few signs she did not see before:

Apparently this has been up for months, now, and we never noticed!  SO SWEET!

When Mommy got home, Derek wanted to have a tea party!  So, we set it up outside and used water for added fun!

Of course, we don't just feed our bellies...we feed our mind, bodies, and souls!  Here Derek is trying out some yoga!

When Derek woke from his nap, a new package had arrived!  Thanks Aunt Sandy and Uncle Sam for the new chalkboard/easel set!

After the boys had their lunch, Mommy met up with Ellen, Mitch, and Susan for a quick bite.  Josh decide to join along, while Derek napped.
