Joshua is 2 months old!

Time flies when you're having fun...and with these two little boys, we are definitely having fun!

Josh is really smiling...little does he know, he's got a visit to the doctor's for his immunizations the next day!

Happy Baby at 2 months old!

A proud older brother!

Aren't they just sweet?

Not sure who's more proud, Cherry or Derek?!

Derek has only been to the Doctor for shots, so we decided to have him come along for Josh's visit (this way he won't necessarily associate Dr. Cohen with shots)!  Not to mention, when he's in the car with Cherry, he often lists all of the people he loves (Mommy, Daddy, Grandma, Papa, Bubby, Zaide, Dr. Cohen....you know, the usual).  He also tells Cherry when he needs a tissue that we should go to Dr. Cohen's office and ask him for one!  So, naturally, Derek wanted to go see Dr. Cohen!

The entire way to the office, Derek sang "The Dr. Cohen Song" (Sung to the tune of High Ho the Dairy-o ---> We're going to Dr. Cohen's ----more on the origins of this during our next post).   Of course, the minute we got there, Derek waited patiently for our "turn" until the nurse came out (yes, the nurse that always gives the shots).  Instantly Derek "want(ed) to go home."

We all went inside and waited to see the good doc!  When Dr. Cohen came in he asked Derek many questions: How old are you?  Are you a boy or a girl?  Is Derek a boy or a girl?  Is Josh a boy or a girl?  Is Mommy a boy or a girl?  Who is Josh?  Derek then responds with, "This is Baby Joshua.  He's growing eyebrows!"  Dr. Cohen's jaw was at the floor, "I've never heard a two year old ever say the word eyebrow before!"  It was pretty funny.  He was even more impressed when Derek started looking around the room and saw a painting with a moon.  When Mommy asked him what type of moon it was, Derek said, "A crescent moon."  Dr. Cohen told us Josh is doing great, but Derek definitely got his attention!
Derek helps Dr. Cohen with Josh's evaluation.
Josh weighed in at 12 lbs 10.4 oz and 22.5 inches!

Big Brother Derek wanted to push Josh back to the car.  He told him, "it's okay Joshua" after his cries from the shots -- don't worry, Derek was not in the room for that portion of the visit!  Derek was walking so fast to soothe his brother, this was the clearest shot taken!

Although Josh may get the acetaminophen, Derek gets a treat that tastes like medicine!
