Start of Summer 2014

Summertime has arrived and lots of fun has begun!

We were so happy to help our friend Sophia celebrate her 3rd birthday at the Davie Ranch!

 Then it's off to climb this amazing tree house!

After Derek explored the tree house, we walked around and found a horse named Tucker!

Derek wasn't so sure about him.

But Tucker seemed to really like him.

Derek decided he should like Josh more and offered up his brother, instead!

It sure was hot on the Ranch, but the boys had tons of fun (and even got their own bandannas and hats)!

Josh loves to follow in Derek's footsteps.  Josh decided he should try on Derek's backpack (since he'll be joining him at school next year)!

Josh's fine motor skills are truly amazing.  He loves to draw and amazes everyone with his pointer grip!!

 Meanwhile, Derek is really doing some great swimming (and loves his new goggles - thanks Gabi and Ella)!

Mommy and her friend Dana decided to be rebels and hijack a paddle boat during their last day of work.  Sure is nice to kick back and enjoy the lake on campus!

Meanwhile, Cherry took the boys for a special visit to her house, where Kerry (Cherry's Daughter) was in visiting from England!

Cherry and Arthur have an amazing garden.

They have good climbing trees, too!

Josh also enjoyed a sweet treat!

Mommy's first official day off and she took the boys (along with Dana and Jason) to Lion Country Safari!

 Then it was time for some mini-golf fun:

In the middle of the ferris wheel ride, Derek really wished Daddy was able to join us during this great day:

Then the battle boats were boarded (gotta get their legs sea-worthy for the upcoming cruise)!

Mommy & Josh boarded a boat and surprised them out in the water!

We're ready to board the cruise ship now!

 After a hot day at the park, we cooled down with some ice-pops (and they even shared)!!!

Since the boys already had their summer haircuts, Mommy decided it was time to donate her locks to Pantene Beautiful Lengths (this is the second time she had donated and she will not donate to locks for love because they charge their recipients for their wigs)!!!  She also went to a curly-girl specialist for this haircut:

Unfortunately the hairdresser is not too good with length and cut 14 inches (the donation only needs to be 8 inches).  But, it'll grow back, and she's hoping it'll make someone very happy!


As you can see, summer is treating us well even if it's just staying at home and "wrestling" around:

We also had the great opportunity to help our friend Jake celebrate his 2nd birthday!!  We made a day of it and went to Bubby and Zaide's first, then took naps, and then headed over for the party!
