The past few weeks we have celebrated many different things: birthdays, get-togethers, and a few other things worth mentioning!
Josh was very into using his fine motor skills last week at Mommy and Me!
Textile fun!
Who is that guy in the mirror?
Noise makers!
These bubbles were stuck on Josh's face!
Josh enjoyed celebrating his first big chunk of fruit!
Fighting sleep like a champ!
Yummy watermelon pieces.
Derek really enjoyed helping his friend, Landon, celebrate his 3rd birthday! He was very good about sharing his "Monsters University" goodies with his brother, too!
We also celebrated the growth of hair and had a haircut:
The Elvis Look.
Sweet boys.
Silly boys!
Josh models Grandma's ice-dyed scarf.
He loves the feel of it!
So tired, he may fall asleep in his blueberries!
Since we were out-of-town for Sophia's 2nd birthday, we did a late celebration (and early celebration of Daddy Alex's birthday)!
Sophia gives Josh a tour of her home.
Derek and Sophia played so well together.
They also listened to some great stories, did somersaults, and sang songs!
Josh played with Emily (from a distance) - he had a runny nose and we didn't want to spread any germs!
Happy Birthday to the Birchenalls!
Josh likes to celebrate by eating.
Eating with Cherry.
Eating with Bubby.
Yay for eating!
We love the way Derek and Joshua have been playing together!
Putting their ducks in a row.
Tad-ah!
Sorting puzzles.
Of course, there's no time better than story-time with Papa!
We were lucky to be able to help Aunt Shana and Uncle Brian celebrate their 30th birthdays!!!
Ice-cream Black and White Cookies --- not a bad way to start the celebration (at midnight)!!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
morning shenanigans
Birthday hugs!
Trying on the bday glasses...
....every pair!
Josh seems thrilled to be a part of the celebration!
The day was exciting! Josh celebrated his first trip to the beach! He loved the ocean and the sand...nothing seemed to phase him.
Josh helps hammer in the umbrella.
Derek gets right to work on the castle.
Uncle Brian watched Derek while Mommy is in the water with Josh.
The water was calm and clear. It was SO nice out!
BOTH boys fell asleep on the way home.
Even with a shell in hand!
After the quick nap, Mommy was able to meet up with her friend, Sharon, from middle school! The boys were even able to meet her 10 week old son, Ilan! We had such a good time, we forgot to take pictures!!!
After the quick visit, Mommy and Daddy went to Courtney's and Fred's newborn son, Lucas', bris!
Look at all that hair!
Congratulations Lucas William!!! You are one lucky little guy to have such great parents!
The next day Joshua joined Mommy for lunch with Carmen, Mitch, and Sharon. A quick visit, but good to catch up:
Snuggled up in Carmen's sweater.
Bonding with Mitch.
That night, Josh was given the royal treatment during dinner (a personal tour of the restaurant):
When we got home, Derek lounged for a bit in Aunt Shana and Uncle Brian's bed...and then he surprised us all! He asked to go pee pee on the potty! We were so excited he was able to pick out an Octonauts book (since it was his first time asking). We told him there are three other books and he could earn those by pooping in the toilet! TMI?
Picking out his book.
Derek LOVES the octonauts!
Daddy reads Derek's book at bedtime.
Derek celebrated his first time watching a movie in a movie theater! He saw Monsters University. We're still not sure what he liked more...the movie or the popcorn!
Derek grabbed his fedora and said, "I'm ready to go!"
Excited for the movie!
Here we are at Sawgrass Mills Mall
Monsters U, here we come!
Making their way to the theater.
Mommy, Bubby, and Derek (with tickets)
Big man, walking in.
Hmmmm, what to eat...
Immediately, Derek sat and ate (mesmerized)
SO much fun!
Afterwards, Derek posed for a few shots, we ate lunch, and Bubby and Daddy helped Derek enjoy the arcade:
Cute hats.
Paddling some big water.
Only in an arcade, Son!
Derek looks up our fortune.
Duckpin bowling. Baltimore cousins? Anyone?
Mmmmm, burger and Oreo shake!
Derek helps Mommy in the shoe department.
All of the excitement wore him out
Packed up and ready for our next adventure!
Today was the last day of Camp Keshet and Mommy and Me.
Josh plays peek-a-boo with Miss Amy
Feeling the texture.
Playing with texture.
Go fish? Errrrr, go boating?
That's the ticket.
So tired he passed out before we got out of the parking lot (and with a firm grasp on his zebraf toy).
Lastly, Papa Harvey just shared some beautiful shots of the last few weeks. ENJOY!
