8 months of fun!

This past week has been full of summer fun.  Lots of camp, Mommy and Me, and visiting with family (Grandma, Bubby, and Zaide are all back in town from their trips away)!

Last Week's class was a Hawaiian theme (so Josh dressed the part)!

Josh and Zac work on their fine motor skills.

We have had a lot of fun running around town!  We enjoyed a dessert treat and a book reading at two separate PJ Library events!

So happy to play with everyone!

Enjoying a special treat with Papa!

We also had lots of fun at home (dressing up, playing with old awards, and earning new ones, too)!
M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E!

Derek puts on his armor.

Goofing around with his medal, etc.

This past week, Derek was Camper of the Week!

The boys are both growing in their own ways.  Josh is getting really good at holding his own bottle, clapping his hands, and crawling (like an inchworm).  Derek is becoming quite the swimmer!  Of course, at the end of the day, there's nothing better than story time with Daddy!

Joshua, happily holding his bottle!

Derek is happy to go for a swim!

Josh loves eating (and wearing) his puffs!

Nothing like bedtime stories with Daddy.

All are enthralled with the readings!
Over the weekend, Bubby and Zaide popped in (after having been out west the past few weeks), and boy did the boys have fun!

Happy Bubby is back!

The "puppy" taking a cat nap! :)

Creating a "dog house" in Derek's room.

TODAY, Joshua is 8 months old.  He spent the morning at Mommy and Me (making a cute shirt and enjoying the water park), then he headed home, refused to nap, and passed out in the evening!

A Mommy/Joshua collaborative effort.
Getting our toes wet at water park.

You can't drink that water!
Okay, maybe you can?!

Happy little Joshie.
How big is Josh?  SOOOOO big!

Lastly, months ago, if you remember, Derek would always end his conversations with, "One more thing..."  (and then he would look around, and state the things he was looking at).  Very often it was, "a truck, and a bee, and a spiderweb...." and then, eventually, he would end with, "I love you!"

Oftentimes when someone comes to visit, he will walk them to the door and tell them to "drive safely."  The other day, Ellen came for a visit (via her bicycle), and when she left, Derek told her to, "Pedal safely!"

Today, as Cherry was leaving, Mommy was able to get some of his "good-bye" on video:

So, until next time....a truck, and a bee, and a spiderweb!
