A Very Merry HALF Birthday to me?....To you, Derek!

Derek is officially 2.5 years old today!

But don't let the pictures fool you...he's not potty trained (even though he did poop in the potty earlier this week and was very excited about it, too -- even if it hasn't happened since)!

Josh was happy to meet Erin (she was in for her wedding shower and bachelorette party!

Went out for dinner with Grandma and when Derek said he was cold, she let him join her in her shirt.  Naturally, Derek's Grandma is a kangaroo of some sort!  Either way...he loved it!

Derek's new obsession...taking his pillow out of bed and laying down whenever/wherever!

Daddy is happy Bubby and Zaide returned from Raleigh with his favorite stash of cookies!  Josh is upset because he only gets the milk part of the "milk and cookies."

Derek enjoys the rainstorm outside.  He was telling us how the water is hitting the ping pong table and the slide and the pool and the grass and the trees and the....

BROTHERS!!!  Ahhhhh!!!  and Ahhhhh!?!?

 

Derek is excited to share his bed with Josh for bedtime stories!

Mommy got home from work on Friday and look who greeted her!

Such sweetness early in the morning...

It's hard not to cuddle with him...Josh, too!

Josh is really starting to reach for things, now.

Derek is still trying to show Josh lots of things...

And Josh is still trying to stay safe from Derek (who can be a little rough at times)!

Many times when Mommy is feeding Josh, Derek will entertain himself in Josh's bedroom.  Here's one from this past week:

Which leads us to today....

Derek really wanted to peel and hold his very own banana...he couldn't stop smiling about it...not even while eating it!

He celebrated his 2.5 years at the Veszi/Einhorn baby naming!

Everything was delicious!!!

Then, outside the temple, he saw a huge prickly plant!

"This is the BIGGEST prickly plant I've ever seen, EVER!"

 

Derek picked pretty flowers for Bubby while he and Zaide collected coconuts to eat/drink.

Even though he's really too big for it, Derek still loves a good bath in Grandma's kitchen sink!
