We have been super busy over the past two weeks (as Josh turned 18 and 19 weeks old). We have been actively participating in sports (attending batting practice and watching some great GATOR Bball)!

Of course, what goes better with sports, than food?! Well, ours is a bit healthier, as we planted a garden in our backyard (yes, we've done this before...but it's going to work this time around)!
Derek's class sold mini garden kits as a fundraiser. Because we supported his class fully, we now have 6 different kits to learn about. Derek begins his research (while dressed to garden - notice his boots)!

Mommy dug out a portion of our backyard, added new soil, a weeding tarp, some more soil, and transplanted our crop! Derek helped by handing the small samples to Mommy and watering everything with Daddy.
Papa sent some great pictures of the boys. He really takes beautiful pictures:

Of course, some things never get old. Derek loves to teach Josh so many things. He especially loves it when they hang out together in his bedroom!

In more sports news...we had a Gator viewing for that terrible loss a couple of weeks back:

...and only double dipped a few times.

Of course nothing is better than a nice bath and book before bedtime at the end of a long week:

Mommy was excited to see a friend from her teaching days at Walter Johnson HS (in MD). Alison was excited to see Derek and meet Josh!
Alison let Mommy eat dinner while entertaining Josh.

...and shared it with the family sitting behind us (a family with 5 girls...all with red hair and names beginning with the same letter)!
Of course, as Gators, we can never give up on our team! So, naturally, we had a game watching party for the first NCAA game! Derek was especially excited to have company over because recently he had found the cabinet where we keep our mixed nuts and M & M's. He really wanted the M & M's, but we told him they are only for when guests are here. Of course, the minute everyone walked in to watch the game, Derek turns to us and says, "These are guests?" We said, "Yes!" He said, "They want M & M's!" So, we poured a bowl of M & M's, and Derek proceeded to hand each of our guests the M & M that matched their shirt best!!!

Mommy and Daddy were invited to her school's annual Gala. The very first bid was for tickets to the cubbies game (sitting in the owner's seats)! Unfortunately the starting bid was $4000 (sorry, Zaidy Shelly)!
We had fun at the "White Hot Havana Nights" gala.
Joshua is happily growing (in fact, earlier this week he received his 4 month vaccines - and he weighed in at 15 lbs, 10 oz -- the exact same weight as Derek at that age, and a half an inch taller at 4.25"). He was a trooper, and only cried for a few short seconds.

This past week we celebrated Pesach with a Passover Seder at Grandma and Papa's (along with Aunt Susie, Roberto, Bubby and Zaide). Everything was delicious and fun! Derek found the afikomen. We told him to unwrap the napkin to make sure it was in there. So, Derek careful unfold the napkin and says, "No, that's not the afikomen. It's a piece of Matzah!" We hope you had as much fun as we!

Since Safta is in town, we might as well let her enjoy watching Grandma bathe the boys:
Mommy's school celebrated International Week this past week (which always includes a student/teacher soccer "World Cup" competition). This year, instead of playing, she let Derek and Josh visit with students and teachers at school! We walked all the way across campus, and it sure was a trek! We ran into many people on our way to the field...
First, Sergio gave Derek a little ride on the golf cart....he was in heaven!
After seeing a few college advisors, a few students, and a few ducks in the lake...we made it!
