It's been loose since Winter Break, but Derek finally lost his very first tooth...and he did it at school -- by pulling it out himself (2/21/17)!
The school nurse gave Derek a "tooth necklace" to hold his tooth and they really celebrated this happy occasion!

The tooth fairy left Derek a card!
Derek's brothers were a bit more excited to see what the tooth fairy left....they kept trying to wake him up so that he could see what was left for him. Derek just wanted to go back to sleep!
Josh wakes Derek to see what the tooth fairy left.
Derek just rolled over and went back to bed!
Finally, Benji pulled the pillow out from under Derek and got him to wake up!
