Chinese New Year, Maya Naming, Zoo, and BENJI'S FIRST STEPS!!!

Lots of fun festivities in February -- Chinese New Year, Cousin Maya's Baby Naming, and a trip to the Central Florida Zoo!
Anybody want a hug?
Each year Mommy's school has an amazing Chinese New Year celebration.  This year was no exception!  We saw awesome performances, ate delicious food, and played fun games!

Derek and Josh try the "Chinese Yo Yo" also called the Diabolo.

The local Chinese dance team performed and even had LED lights as part of their costumes!

ALL of the boys were entranced.

Miss Maya Olivia had her baby naming in Orlando and Bauby M and Zaidy Shelly flew in from Chicago to South Florida.  We drove up to Orlando for the weekend.

Great company for the ride up to Orlando.

Derek and Maya get along SO well.  Derek just couldn't wait to feed his cousin a bottle!

Caps for sale, caps for sale...

Both Josh and Maya love listening to Bubby read stories.

Aunt Shana and Josh play peek-a-boo with the bear.

Benji is warming up to the pups.

Something about Curious George grabs all of the kids' attention.

More games!

Baby giggles!
Braver by the minute.

Dinner -- somebody's sitting in Maya's chair!
Alfalfa in the house hotel.

The boys share a hide-a-bed.

Knocked out!

Him, too!

Who let's their kids plop around in the middle of the hotel?!

The Barbags

A quick bite, then...

Off to the Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens:

Here we go!
Cousin kisses!

Funny frogs

Rest stop.

Mid-morning smiles.

Yum - snack!

What did the llama say to the blade of grass?
Nice knawing you!

What figure describes a lost parrot?
A polygon.

What do you call a snake that tells jokes?
Monty Python!

No joke can make this any funnier.

Everyone enjoyed watching the river otters!

Bauby has a true fear of snakes and Derek took full advantage.

But, no hard feelings -- she still gave Derek a ride around the zoo!
Train ride!

All aboard!

Lunch after and Josh snags a sip of Bubby's cider!

Back to Aunt Shana's and Uncle Brian's for dinner, play, and baths.

One last cuddle before heading back to the hotel.

Out...

...and out!

We noticed googly eye on the artwork on our walls.  Then we noticed the same artwork was in each hotel room -- but without the googly eyes!  How funny!!!  Guess we'll have to head back next time with some extra googly eyes!

Handsome and ready for Maya's baby naming.

Well, almost ready.

Don't trust this kid with your code!

It's official -- her name is Maya Olivia!  :)

Waiting for the lady of the hour!

Bubby and Zaide with their GrandBOYS.

Shana and Brian did a beautiful job of sharing Maya's Hebrew Name, Shayndel, named after our beloved cousin, Sandy Wolfman.  We miss her everyday and know that Maya will live up to such a beautiful person.

Aaaand, Josh has had enough picture taking.

But this one just keeps smiling!!!

Cousins Renee and Sarah help Derek with his photography skills.

Secrets...

...and good-bye kisses!
Until next time, Orlando....

Spiderman and Superman --  OUT!
Back at home and happy to jump around!

Benji is still trying to master standing and walking.

Almost taking Steps 2/9

Back to S FL and back to reality.  Mommy came home from work and Josh has a remote control for a car held behind his neck with the antennae wrapped to his mouth.  Why?  Oh, I see, it's a microphone like Miss Myriam has at school (his favorite "Miss Bim Bom" sings the songs during each shabbat with her hands-free mic!).

Cantor Joshua
Josh sings it proudly!

Meanwhile, the other boys are back at it --- wrestling once again!
It's official, February 11, 2016 -- Benji took his first steps!!!
