Only days before we leave for our Orlando trip, Josh, at 2 years and 10.5 months, has decided he wants to go pee pee in the potty!
When Mommy got home on Friday, Josh kept asking to go pee pee in the potty. So, naturally, we took off his diaper and let him go. By the 3rd or 4th time, we asked him if he wanted to wear big boy underwear. He said yes! And....that's that! Although we have our reservations about timing (a few hours ride to Orlando to/from and a day or two in the parks), we are so happy and excited for our middle man!
Maybe it had something to do with the eclipse?

Over the weekend, while Daddy was getting haircuts for the boys, Mommy got roped into making a tuffet with Grandma. It took about a week, some newly learned sewing skills, a patient teacher, and a nearly cut-off finger, but Mommy did it! Here's the finished product:
The three products from the course: Grandma's is the top right and Mommy's is the bottom tuffet.
The first weekend Mommy worked on this, the boys had a babysitter and learned some new dance moves, thanks to Mommy's Students, Jordynn (who is a fabulous dancer, see her most recent win at an international competition here)!
Derek really loves to "whip and banaenae" while Josh is "a gummybear!"

Not only is Josh learning how to use the potty, but he also is quite the gentleman. Mommy went to introduce him to a co-worker of hers and he tipped his hat and said, "Hello, b'lady!" Here's retaping of how it went down:
