As of two days ago he began crawling...sort of. He is definitely moving forward, but his legs seem to be stronger than his arms (or at least they don't seem to be working together all of the time), and this results in a lot of face-planting while attempting to move towards toys. Check it out here:
Just yesterday, Derek and Joshua enjoyed a nature walk (of course, summer has arrived, so we were dressed with our hats and ready for the heat)!
Mommy was tutoring down in Ft. Lauderdale the other day and when she walked out to her car, she saw this iguana:
She thought he had run into the bushes when she got into the car, but a few blocks away, when looking at her side mirror to change lanes...guess who was there?
So, she pulled over and tried to scare him off (since she was about to hop onto the highway and enter a torrential downpour)!
But, he didn't listen! He kept walking along the side of the car...holding on for dear life. Well, he made it on the freeway and through the rain, but took a leap of faith about 40 minutes into the drive.
Back to the real purpose of this post...this cute guy turning 7 months old!
Bubby and Zaide came up to spend some time with the boys:
Bubby and Derek built a teepee out of twigs from our yard.
Derek showed Bubby the tomatoes we are growing.
Then, it was inside for lunch time!
P, B, & J all around!
None for me, thanks!
You can feed me peaches...
...but you can't make me eat them!
Then it was time for a nap!
Josh was worn out from playing with Zaide all morning.
And, apparently, Zaide was worn out, too!
Of course, I don't really like to sleep for too long...I'd rather be where all of the action is:
Playing with the kangaroo.
Attempting to crawl some more.
Nooo, I'm NOT tired!
Ok, maybe a little.
Lastly, Mommy and Daddy got to enjoy a date night! They went out to dinner and saw Man of Steel in 3D! Daddy is our Superman, and we want to wish him and all of the wonderful Dads out there a very Happy Father's Day!!!
So sweet! I think you need to put Josh in swimming lessons - it looks like he would have a strong kick! Also - check his cheeks for rug-burn! ;) hehe
