BIG Anniversary, 4th of July, Concerts with Cousin

Bauby M and Zaidy Shelly had their 65th Wedding Anniversary!  And, since they now live locally, we had the benefit of helping them celebrate!

This is Benji's first year at the JCC camp and although the first week or so was rough during drop off, he's not having a blast!

He enjoys the playground.

He enjoys the centers in his room.

Unfortunately, Mommy got really sick on the 4th of July and that meant cancelling on our friends and family for the 4th of July celebration we had planned.  But, it didn't mean the boys couldn't have fun!

Bubby Linda and Zaide Mike dropped off some of the 4th of July food they were planning on bringing to the celebration.  They then took the rest to Bauby M and Zaidy Shelly's home and had a celebration of their own!

Benji has grown braver about jumping into the pool (as long as he's holding your finger).  He jumps in surfaces and then says, "Cannonball!"

The sparklers only resulted in two holes in Derek's shorts and Derek stepping on the discarded sparklers that were laying on the ground.  Can you see where he got burned?

Mommy popped over to Bauby and Zaidy's house to help finish arranging a few things.

Cousin David joined us for a series of concerts!  He ended up joining Mommy and Daddy for Incubus with Jimmy Eat World Tour.  It was a great concert, even if David didn't know most of the songs!

But, the original reason he was heading south was to join Daddy for a Metallica Concert!  Daddy fooled him into thinking they had terrible seats, when, in fact, they were moving back to avoid the huge mosh pit that ensued!

For more entertainment, David suggested we try an escape room.  So, David, Mommy, Daddy, Courtney, and Fred all went to an escape room called "Mind Eraser."  They asked for someone brave, so Mommy volunteered David (who then was locked up with a chain and bolt).  They worked as a team and escaped the room(s) with 5+ minutes to spare!
