Marlins have had a great season, so far, winning every game! Both boys love going to practice and playing in the games. Josh has really taken to the game and is a solid hitter. Derek has made some great fielding plays. It's really been fun to watch!

Math is fun -- especially if you link art to it! George Hart, a mathematics professor and artist, visited North Broward and showed all sorts of mathematical art. His website, http://georgehart.com/, is wonderful! It's for all levels of mathematics --- so, check it out!
Mommy worked with her team to create some neat sculptures!
Then the students used the school's laser printer to cut these pieces,
dye them, and then construct the sculpture -- it now hangs in the schools foyer!
Mommy always has students asking if they can laser cut a hall pass or 3D print a bust of her. But, her student, Ke Jin (Rachel), asked if she could do 3D prints of the boys! How amazing is that? Here's the process:
Once Rachel took a ton of pictures of the boys (rotating all around them as they sat still -- no easy feat) she uploaded the images into a program on her computer and then exported it to the 3D printer.

Speaking of creations --- each year we have doves create a nest at the top of our column in our patio. Sometimes we get lucky and it gets used twice in a season. Well, this year, we have had 5 different sets of doves lay eggs and feed their young. Here's a baby as she learned how to fly.
All of these activities sure are tiring.
