Harvest Hoedown

NB Lower School has a Harvest Hoedown and Chili Cookoff.  These cowboys got dressed up, danced their boots off, had incredible face-painting accomplished, rode horses, and even fed animals at the petting zoo.  The Chili wasn't bad either!

Looking the part.

Howdy, little lady.

Josh, the bunny whisperer.

Combing the bunny's fur.

He really liked watching the pretty ducks.

Josh was brave enough to feed the goat!

And when you feed them, you gain a buddy!

Waiting to transform to a fox.

What does the fox say?

Alexander and Derek having a blast.

Josh wants to become a fox like his older brother.

Cutest Fox EVER.

Now Benji wants to get his face painted, but we convince him to check out the animals instead (since the line was long, we didn't want to wait in it a third time, and we were going home to take baths anyway)!

Benji likes the ducks, too!

Benji begins to rearrange the duck corner
into an amphitheater with all of the chairs
he sets up around the cage.

Now he's off to see the bunnies.

But we couldn't get Derek off of the dance floor.
He wanted to earn a prize from the DJ soooo badly!
He finally did, just as we had to leave.

The next day Derek had off for Veterans Day, but Josh and Benji did not.  So, Mili was wonderful enough to pick up Derek and let him spend the day with Isaac -- they saw the Trolls movie, played at Off the Spectrum, and even had lunch together.  What a great day off!

Now that school is back in session, so have the birthday parties commenced.

Having fun with the birthday boy!

This is what a 6 year old thinks a cozy
is for -- to keep his hands warm!

Derek makes a pencil and eraser out of legos.

The La Vans invited Daddy and Derek to
an amazing Panthers Game!
Shoot out for the win! Thanks!!

The next morning the Barbags joined the B'nai Torah community in a Mitzvah Day.  The boys helped Mommy and Daddy created meals for Feeding Children Everywhere.  It was tiring for the boys, but they did a HUGE mitzvah, and that's what it's all about!
