Last few weeks of summer

July is ending and August is beginning...

Josh snuck in, again, last night --- he's such a cuddler.

Went in to get this guy, and he has taken off his pants
and is showing them off as we walked in!
Such a goofball, like his brothers!

Meal time -- both boys wanted to sit next to Benji.

BIG appetites!

Hoopin' it up with Mr. Ryan and Ms. Mickaela

Swimming with Mr. Patrick

Josh LOVED his hair this morning -- the wave!

Benji has been working hard at "separation."
When Mommy was invited back into the class,
all of the other kids had finished snack and were
playing around the room.  But not our Benji.
He was sitting, relaxing, enjoying his food!

Of course, summer is full of crafts, naps, swimming, and fun!

In the driver's seat.

He keeps himself busy while Derek & Josh are at camp.

Josh LOVES coloring.

Daddy teaches the boys the art of making a malted milkshake.

The aficionados approve.

Derek made his own tie-dye shirt!

Oh noooooo, gotta put the magna-tiles away!!!

Josh is happy at camp!

Making his way through the tunnels at camp.
Each week Derek's bunk has "Trapeze," but he never felt comfortable giving it a try (it's REALLY up there).  During the last day, he gave it a go!  Not only did he climb up and swing down, but he ended with a back flip, too!  Luckily, his counselor got it all on video, too!!!

When Derek told us about the experience he said, "When I got to the top and I looked down, my knees kept knocking."  Dunno if he'll ever do it again, but glad he gave it a shot!

Trapeze D!

They LOVE him at camp!  Look at this face.  How could you not?!

Why so serious, batman?

Josh works hard on his swim form.
Saturday started off lazy --- but these two had a very busy day!
The boys surprised Bubby and Zaide by making a "Welcome Home" sign and by stocking their refrigerator for their late night return from being away.  We also took Derek to buy his school uniforms for Kindergarten!!!

Benji loves the "big boy bed," but he really loves sleeping in his crib.

This guy....

Bubby & Zaide were happy with their surprise -- and their food!

Benji likes his new shirt from B & Z!

Benji is in his last week of "separation," then he'll be set to begin the Toddler 2's class in the fall --- unbelievable how time flies.

Special thanks to Miss Amy and Miss Karen (pictured here).
Karen Deerwester, of Family Time Inc.,  is such an amazing educator, professional, and friend.  We have been so blessed to have Miss Amy and Miss Karen as the boys' first teachers.  Mommy was also very honored to be asked by Miss Karen to participate in a podcast on STEM education.  Feel free to listen here (https://soundcloud.com/user-814329899/episode-39-stem-for-toddlers) or check out any of the other amazing topics discussed by Karen!!!
