The boys were happy to spend time together (without a ton of other family members around) -- it sure was quiet for a bit!
Derek got pretty good at his marble run.
Josh enjoyed his morning workout routine.
Of course, they both are good at lounging around, too!

We also set up a playdate with Gabi and Ella (Derek's friends from last school year)
They never miss a beat!
Meanwhile, we had a last meal with Bauby and Zaidy before they had to head back to the cold.
We realized Zaidy and Josh ate the exact same dinner...
They even had the same dessert!
Derek saw a boy make an ice-cream float...so he tried it himself!
We had SO much fun and cannot wait until the next visit!
After a while, we decided it was time for another haircut.

The weather this winter has been beautiful. We have spent a lot of time outdoors. One trip took us to the park:

Shortly after the New Year, we celebrated Daddy's birthday!

Daddy started off the day running a 5k.
Then it was off to Bubby and Zaide's to celebrate!

After we helped Bub celebrate, Derek offered to drive us home:
When we got back up to Boca, Grandma and Papa met us for dinner at Panera's. When we were leaving, we saw a firetruck! Derek went up to the firemen and asked them all sorts of questions. They had a looooong conversation with him (and even flashed the lights and blew the horn as they left - at Derek's request, of course)!
