It all started with Derek learning how to use the hand-held vacuum cleaner. He (unfortunately) knows how to remove the child-safety blocks for the outlet, then plugs in the vacuum cleaner.
He's quite good at the cleaning! He has managed to clean under the kitchen table, along the baseboards, and in the tracks of the sliding glass doors! Anyone need a good clean-up guy? Derek's your man!

While Derek was busy cleaning, Joshua was busy learning how to go up and down the step in our home:
Of course, the past week has had many "brotherly love" moments:

Josh is getting good at eating food on his own!

Cherry is back and it's good to have her to cuddle!

Of course, Josh doesn't want to leave all of the mischief up to his big brother:
Josh was able to crawl over to the sliding glass door...
....and remove the PVC pipe (and play with it)!
Josh found a little balloon (actually, from when he was born), and enjoyed hiding behind it and removing it from his face whenever he heard "peek-a-boo!"
The other night Josh must've been hungry because he ate an entire banana all by himself!
Bananas and Cheerios! YUM!
Nothing but smiles!
Derek encourages Josh to keep eating.
These two sure are going to be trouble together!
Of course, after all of the mushy, sticky banana, the boys were ready for a bath! We decided to let them bathe together! (This is the first time they've been in a tub together -- you know, without the little infant tub):
Derek loved squirting Josh with all of his water toys! He also enjoyed showing him how to float on his back!
Josh didn't really like when Derek squirted him with his toys. But, don't worry, Derek gave Josh kisses to make it all better!
Lastly, Joshua had quite an eventful last 24 hours! He began 4 new things!
Joshua got his first tooth (8/20/13) at just over 9 months old!
Josh began to sit up on his own!
Josh began crawling on his knees (rather than like an inchworm)!
Josh opened his first drawer (in the kitchen) -- uh oh!
Josh sat-up by himself for the first time today!
Josh crawls on his knees!
Nothing but trouble coming our way!
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, Bubby and Zaide! You both are an inspiration to us all!!!
